Pragathi UTSAV was not just another cultural event; it was a festival that marked the celebration of the 67th Indian Republic Day. Pragathi USAs objective was to create a platform for local artists from DC Metro area to showcase their talent. There were 100 plus talented artists from various Indian states who brought rich variety of the Indian Traditional Music and Dance forms in front of more than 400 audience.

Dr.Siva Subramanian was chief guest. He is a Professor of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology, DrChief of Neonatology and Ethicist at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Dr.Subramanian was the founder and served as the Chairman of Sri Siva Vishnu Temple in Lanham, MD one of the largest Hindu Temples in North America.

UTSAV also given an enriching performance experience to the participating artists, an ecstatic watching and listening experience to the audience, and a great publicity to all its sponsors.
